Our launch for Uber Eats Japan was three full 360 campaign under the title: Tonight I’ll Be Eating. Each campaign featured unlikely pairings, such as Kei Nishikori and Cookie, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi and Nana Komatsu, and Takayuki Yamada and Hiroshi Abe.
My role was to ideate, produce, and direct the social media portion of the campaigns. This included the long format BTS materials which had; Behind the Scenes footage, blooper reels, interviews, and interactive games between the actors.
From TVCs, OOH, eDMS, and social media, our team wrote the scripts, suggested the talent pairings, did the creative direction, and oversaw the production. This campaign was ranked #1 most effective ad campaign of 2020 by Nikkei Shimbun.
Blooper Reel Although we had many ideas for Kuroyanagi and Komatsu, due to their scheduling we were unable to film them participating in any games. Our solution was to create a true Behind the Scenes, including a Blooper Reel which became the most watched social media concept for this campaign.
